Sex Education - No right to keep children in ignorance

At Liberal Democrat conference Baroness Sarah Ludford, Liberal Democrat MEP for London, has supported basic sex education in schools from the age of 7 for all children, and opposed a right for parents to withdraw their children from classes.

"We must look at this from the perspective of the child, and their need to grow up equipped to look after themselves.

"There exists no right for parents to keep their children in ignorance."
