Sarah nominated for 'MEP of the Year'

Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP has been nominated by the European Voice, part of the Economist Newspaper, as 'MEP of the Year'. Sarah is the only UK MEP to be nominated for the award, and has been chosen for "For persistently standing up for the defence of citizens' civil liberties".

Speaking from Strasbourg, Sarah said:

"I am delighted to be nominated for this award. It is a particular honour as a Liberal Democrats to be chosen and I hope it helps highlight our work here in the European Parliament."
