Sarah Ludford MEP has been a strong supporter of the plight for Gurkha justice. She welcomed some Gukha veterans to the Liberal Democrat conference and attended a meeting with actress Joanna Lumley in support of the campaign. Sarah says:

"Gurkhas have suffered years of injustice at the hands of the British government but thankfully the High Court's ruling will mark the beginning of justice being done. I strongly welcome the Bill my Liberal Democrat colleague, Lord Lee of Trafford, is promoting to implement the right to settle in the UK that the court acknowledged. "

"Gordon Brown should announce quickly that all retired Gurkhas, who have done so much to courageously defend the United Kingdom, have the right to live in the UK."
